AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Parklands Area Forum has requested £1,000 to the 19th Blackpool Brownie Pack as a contribution to enable the local Brownies to take part in events celebrating 100 years of Brownies in 2014 and to pay for transport to events for the Brownie Pack.

The Gateway Area Forum has requested £6,000 to create a combined pot of money which would be used to support projects that address forum wide issues, such as anti-social behaviour, dog fouling and fly-tipping.

Councillors Cain and Jones of Bloomfield Ward have requested £137.50 as a contribution together with Waterloo Ward to fund traffic management for 3 days for a Waterloo Road Social Event.

Councillors Ryan and Wright of Greenlands Ward have requested:
(i) £774 as a contribution towards the purchase and installation of a Christmas Tree from the Illuminations Division with led/festoon lighting and Christmas features.
(ii) £400 to fund the printing and delivery of a letter to every household in the ward for Greenlands Community Engagement Day.

Councillors Cross and Rowson of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £769.10 to fund the purchase and installation of 2 Enviropol Litter Bins, one on Pinewood Avenue and one on Dumfries Close.

Councillors Lee and O’Hara of Waterloo Ward have requested:
(i) £137.50 as a contribution together with Bloomfield Ward to fund traffic management for 3 days for a Waterloo Road Social Event.
(ii) £200 towards funding for the use of Lancashire Boys and Girls Club mobile youth club on Watson Road Park over the autumn half term holidays
